Greetings!
Please excuse the delay of this issue of my Wise Women Soul Sweat Newsletter. It's growing as we all grow! I can't believe that February is over, I personally could have used those few more days until the 30th or the 31st. We're blessed in any case. I know you would agree with me, three months into 2006 already! Let the healing continue.
At the last love yourself' session at Bania Bathhouse in February, the sistah circle really came together with prayer, ritual and release. Hey! We also had a mud party .that's right! I introduced Queen Afua's rejuvenating clay to the circle and I personally gave every sistah there a facial. Then in turn, one of my beloved sistahs gave me a facial. We were truly detoxing and beautifying in every sense of the word that night. This clay is proving itself to be a powerful spiritual healing tool, disguised as a cosmetic.
So, the clay will definitely be one of our healing tools and will also be available for purchase (5.00) at our following circle meetings, along with my own line of Ancient Blends Aura-therapy mists. These are aroma therapy spritzers to re-align our auric fields. They're available in four aromas; Second Wind, an exhilarating blend of grapefruit and peppermint, Winter Anxiety; a calming blend of sage and frankincense, Breathe Happiness; a fresh blend of lavender and lemon, and Sensuality; a blissful blend of rose and ylang ylang. These aromatic investments are $ 18.00 each.
We sat and sipped milk thistle tea, which is an herb known for detoxifying, strengthening and renewal of the liver, which by the way, collects all the toxins from the body and holds anger. Milk Thistle is a valuable herb, since it boosts your resistance to dis-ease and helps you to recover from illnesses quickly. Your liver plays an important role in your immunity. It actually manufactures chemicals to clean your blood. It also secretes bile which stimulates digestive juices that help break down the nutrients from our food, and makes it useable for our cells pretty important part of the machinery, I would say! If you take the "r" off the word liver, you get live, so for me, keeping the liver functioning calm and clean as possible only makes sense for us to live', some of us are just barely existing these days.
It was a divine pleasure sharing that last circle with my sistahs, the giving and the bonding is so lacking for us these days. We give so much to others every day. It was a delicious treat to be pampered and to receive as well! Everyone expressed their joy to be there, even though challenges tried and stop them from attending. New sistahs are joining the circle each month and I sense that the need for this circle is definitely being met.
I agree with the notion that states that women's spiritual circles are for the purpose of exploring each sistahs connection to the Divine Spirit. I created this circle with a vision in mind; I pray that we may draw our strength and power from the Creator, the Goddesses, our Divine ancestors, the Divine Feminine and from honoring our own sacred journey.
As we focus on ourselves as divine beings, a glorious part of creation and as co-creators, it is incredibly empowering to women and helps us to feel better about ourselves. It also inspires us as a whole to become more assertive in our lives. For the most part, I see being a part of this sistah circle as a way to raise our frequencies and our vibrations. So, allowing ourselves to come together once each month, consistently recharges us.
I give thanks again to Bania Bathhouse for their hospitality. Their other patrons are helpful, quite interesting and informative. Some of them come from Russia and other places where frequenting a bath house regularly is just one of their favorite past times. So, they're always eager to share little tips on their traditional use of the steam room and saunas. At Bania, they definitely inspire you to get the most out of the experience of the facilities.
Once again, I personally invite you to join us at Bania Bathhouse to engage your mind body and spirit in sharing with a circle of sistah friends. What are you thoughts, feelings and reactions to what you've read from these last three months of the WISE WOMEN SOUL SWEAT newsletter? Feel free to share, what do you believe woman's' spirituality is? Do you have an affinity with the Goddess? If so, how does she show up in your life? If not, are there historical women or religious figures that you draw your strength and inspiration from? Do you know anything about your grandmothers and your mothers' spiritual practices? If you do know, how have they influenced you today? If you don't know, how do you feel/think that has affected your life?
If you have any interest in exploring these questions and much, much more, The Wise Woman Soul Sweat Circle maybe helpful to you. Use what is helpful in your life and begin to discard the rest. Let us look for trust and the truth of our own experiences reclaim spiritual authority and responsibility for ourselves It is the essence of the practice of women's' spirituality and of this circle of SISTAHS!
