Aromatherapy

Aroma therapy is the healing of the body, mind and psyche, by using essential oils. It is the practice of using naturally distilled essences of plants and flowers to promote the health and well-being of your body, mind and emotions. The essences that I use are called essential oils, they restore the harmony and the balance back into your life. I offer aromatherapy in my natural hair and health care practice by scenting myself and my home with essential oils, also by adding them into the haircare and bodycare products that I use here at The Cowrie Shell Center. So, while you're here, you breathe in aromatherapy blends that relieve congestion, clears your head and gives you a feeling of well-being that begins to heal you on an energetic level. You also experience a boosted immune system and a sense of stress reduction.  These plant and flower oils work in plants and they also stimulate human metabolism and transmit neurochemical messages to our organs (skin), glands (hormones), and the body systems ( lymphatic, blood circulation, immune system).

Aroma therapy maintains, heals and regenerates. It stimulates the mind and emotions through your sense of smell. This is a  very significant aspect of  a visit to The Cowrie Shell Center and 'The Yendys Experience'. Every morning I have my ritual of scenting the atmosphere here, based on how I'm feeling that day or calling forth the type of day I wish to experience.

Aroma therapy is not new, it is an ancient Khametic(Egyptian) natural healing method that has re-emerged in recent years. Actually, all of the ancient cultures recognized the value of botanicals and aromatic plants. Our ancestors were the first  practitioners to introduces this aspect of their lives to other cultures. The priests and priestesses  bath themselves abundantly in such scents as cedarwood, frankincense, myrrh, and rose, which were also used  for anointing every part of their bodies.

The first perfumes were incense. The word perfume comes from the latin 'per', which means through, and 'fume', which means smoke. Our ancestors burned incense day and night in the temples. The used botanical gums, aromatic powders and scented oils, waters and wines. Aromatic oils were the main ingredient in early cosmetics. Our ancestors use frequent bathing rituals and anointed their bodies with botanicals to keep their skin healthy, youthful and also to protect them from the  hot sun.

The healing effects of products containing essential oils depends on your skin and hair's permeabilty, cleanliness and receptivity to absorption. These are conditions that you may improve by having  a healthy lifestyle habit and good nutrition. A body that is full of toxins will not be capable of experiencing the full effects of essential oils, although a few will have some effects on the body.

All of my products  'Ancient Blends' contain essential oils, geared toward mind, body, spirit re-balancing. Sage, lavender, cloves, tangerine, rosemary, ylang ylang, gerianium, jasmine and frankincense  are among the essences that you may encounter during your visit.
Aromatherapy offers a natural approach to health and beauty care so you too can use to make your life healthier and  live much more In joy!...So, take personal care of your beauty and the products you use. The magic is waiting, The Yendys Experience!
